The Springfield Railroad Corridor Study’s stakeholder advisory groups are a critical component of the study’s public participation program.  Participants help the study team obtain valuable community input; identify and address local concerns; and build public interest and involvement in the study’s decision-making process.  In short, advisory group participants serve as liaisons between the communities they represent and the study team, deepening team members’ understanding of community conditions and values so that their findings are well informed and responsive to community needs.

The study has four advisory groups – the Business Advisory Group (BAG), Community Advisory Group (CAG), Medical Advisory Group (MAG) and Public Officials Advisory Group (POAG).  Information about the advisory groups, including their meeting dates, times, locations, membership, meeting materials and discussion summaries will be regularly posted and updated on this page.
