The Springfield Rail Improvements Project team hosted a Public Open House from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Bank of Springfield Center. More than 60 citizens, elected officials and business people attended and spoke with project team members. Informational stations covered topics including the current Ash Street construction, the completed Carpenter Street Underpass, the next usable segments for construction, land acquisition, funding, the archaeological site, and the Grow Our Own minority participation program. A station dedicated to public feedback encouraged participants to complete a comment form about the project. An open microphone for verbal public comments was available from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
