The Springfield Rail Improvements Project team hosted a Public Open House from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the Bank of Springfield Center.  More than 100 citizens, elected officials and business people attended and spoke with project team members. Informational stations covered topics including drone videos and aerial views of projects, the Springfield-Sangamon County Transportation Center, the next usable segments for construction, land acquisition, 3rd Street Redevelopment, the archaeological site, and the Grow Our Own minority participation program. A station dedicated to public feedback encouraged participants to complete a comment form about the project.
